An einer Max zu arbeiten macht immer wieder Spaß, denn alles ist klar, übersichtlich und einfach.
Am schönsten ist es radikal alles zu machen vom Fahrwerk bis zum Motor, so dass am Ende ein neues Motorrad vor einem steht.

Working on a Max is always fun because everything is neat, clear and simple.
It is best to do everything from the frame to the engine, so after all is done a new motorcycle is in front of you.
Sie kam fast wie ein Wrack und nichts stimmte, eine potthässliche „Lackierung“ war der optische Tiefpunkt, Anbauteile die weder zur Max noch ihrer Zeit gehören liessen mich schaudern.
Dann aber ging es ans Werk, und nichts aber auch gar nichts blieb ausser Acht, ein Projekt von längerer Dauer lag vor mir.

It came almost like a wreck and nothing was right, an ugly "paintwork" was the optical low point, accessories which neither to the Max nor to its time belonged made me shudder.
But then I started to work, and nothing but nothing remained disregarded, a long time project layed before me.
